How did you first hear about roller derby?

What is something that you know about roller derby now that you wish you knew when you first started?

I underestimated how physically and mentally challenging it is to start a new sport, especially a contact sport at 38. Way too old.
 
What is the roller derby goal you are working towards right now?

Just to survive, not to die.

What do you do to keep your derby brain switched on?

There's a switch?? Hahaha  
 
Who in WARD is inspiring you at the moment?

Penny. She is impressive to watch skating, reading the play while explaining what's going on. Then still pushes herself at training to improve but takes time out to check in on everyone and goes out of her way to help individuals and WARD.   

What keeps you enthused about roller derby? 

The drive to understand the game and keep improving. Plus the team environment is so positive and supportive.
